Kishawi, Sarah, Faculty, 2nd Grade

Sarah Kishawi earned her undergraduate degree from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. She then completed a Master’s Degree in Developmental Psychology and Learning Disabilities at the American College of Greece (Deree). Ms. Kishawi carried out her teaching practicum in 1st grade at 香港六合彩开奖结果2023, in collaboration with the University of West Florida. As an 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 alumna, she has been part of the school community since Junior Kindergarten, continuing through to 12th grade.

Ms. Kishawi has actively participated in various seminars and conferences on child psychology and education, driven by her strong passion for working with children. While living in Beirut, she volunteered as a teacher at the Insan Association, supporting underprivileged children, including street children and illegal immigrants, in their math, English, and science courses. During her Master’s studies at Deree, she worked as a peer tutor with the Student Academic Services, assisting both undergraduate and graduate students with essay writing. Additionally, she has experience volunteering and working with various NGOs, including Doctors of the World, MSF, IMC, and DRC, where she regularly supported children facing psychological challenges such as trauma, anxiety, and depression.

At 香港六合彩开奖结果2023, she has held various roles, including shadow teacher, teaching assistant in OLP, permanent substitute, fourth-grade homeroom teacher, and second-grade homeroom teacher. She is currently excited to be teaching second grade for the second year, following her return from maternity leave. Her professional development continues as she recently completed courses on Magnifying Reading Intervention Through Science and Research, as well as Supporting Struggling Students Through High Leverage Practices.

Ms. Kishawi is a passionate, creative, and well-rounded educator. Her goal as a teacher is to guide her students in solving the mysteries of math, discovering the beauty in science, and igniting their imagination in reading and writing. She is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where her students can build confidence and feel empowered to become lifelong learners.
