Amirali, Saba, Faculty, 4th Grade
Saba Amirali is an experienced elementary educator eager to join the 4th grade team at ACS this year. She is passionate about cultivating meaningful relationships with her students and places community building at the center of her teaching philosophy.
Ms. Amirali was born and raised in the state of Georgia in the U.S. In 2019, she graduated from the University of Georgia with a BSEd and MEd in Early Childhood Education. She continued to live in Athens, Georgia for the next two years and worked as a 4th grade homeroom teacher. Through the pandemic, Ms. Amirali worked to sustain community virtually with her class through regular check-ins and optional summer Google Meet hangouts. In 2021, she moved to Chicago, Illinois where she taught 5th grade for two years. Ms. Amirali continued to implement the use of technology to increase understanding and engagement through participating in programs such as Skype a Scientist, which allowed students to virtually speak to a variety of scientists related to the current unit of study.
Wanting to further develop her skills in the educational technology space, Ms. Amirali most recently attended the Harvard University Graduate School of Education where she took courses on makerspace education, involvement of the arts, and creating loving spaces in the classroom. She graduated with an EdM in Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology in 2024. She is thrilled to head back to the classroom and put her new skills into practice, especially in a beautiful new country and school.
Ms. Amirali is looking forward to a rewarding year filled with exciting learning opportunities for her students.
