Svolakis, Diane, Faculty, Social Studies

Ms. Svolakis was born in the UK, in the North of England, and moved to London in her teens. Since 1976, she has lived both in London and Greece. She holds a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from Brunel University, a PGCE from Sunderland University, and an LCCI Diploma from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She has attended two IB workshops and has experience as an IB examiner.

With 24 years of teaching experience in IB and A Level Business, Ms. Svolakis also teaches EFL and Business English to corporate managers. Her vast experience extends to summer schools at Oxford, Cambridge, and MIT, where she has not only worked with teenagers but also led global finance seminars for adults. Additionally, she works for IBWISE, running IB revision camps in Vienna during Easter and summer.

Her corporate background includes training in the airline industry and serving as a department manager at a film studio outside of London. In her personal life, she enjoys reading, hosting gatherings at home, swimming, and traveling, particularly in Greece. She is a proud mother of a son and grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren, who live in Denmark.
