Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Ms. Melina Kolimpiri is an educator with a strong foundation in the Humanities. She is a graduate of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, Department of Philosophy, with a specific major in History and Archaeology. She also holds a Diploma in “General and Specialized Translation from English into Greek” awarded by the Hellenic American Union, as well as certificates in German and Italian Languages.
Ms. Kolimpiri has worked for twenty six years in Greek Private Schools and Institutions as a teacher of Ancient and Modern Greek Language, Literature and History.
Since joining the 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 community in 2018, she has been teaching Greek in both Middle School and Academy classes. She holds certification as an International Baccalaureate educator and teaches Modern Greek IB Language A: Language and Literature.
Ms. Kolimpiri is deeply committed to lifelong learning, a principle that informs her teaching philosophy and practices. She has actively sought professional development opportunities, completing numerous seminars on teaching methodology, classroom effectiveness, and inclusion. Her pursuit of knowledge extends to a specialized course at Aegean University focused on teaching Greek as a Second or Foreign Language, equipping her with effective methods to support non-native speakers in their language acquisition. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Ms. Kolimpiri engages in professional text editing and proofreading for publications in Psychology and Poetry. Her personal and pedagogical philosophy emphasizes self-improvement and the transformative power of education, creating an environment where students are encouraged to explore, grow, and cultivate their critical thinking and collaborative learning.
This year she is teaching Modern Greek IB Language A: Language and Literature (Year 1), Greek Language and Literature 10 and Greek 3.
